"The making of a photograph is more than a conscious act. The conscious mind can take a competent picture... the subconscious mind adds the magic 'instant' when the brain instructs the finger to push the button." - Raymond Jacobs
Raymond Jacobs (1923 - 1993) was a seminal mid-century photographer. His work has been widely exhibited internationally, including in Edward Steichen's ground-breaking 1955 exhibition, "The Family of Man" at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
